Nigeria Society Of Engineers Holds Olympic Marathon Walk On July 12
President, of Nigeria Olympic Committee ( NOC) , Engr. Habu Gumel has thrown his weight behind the Olympic Walk of the annual Nigeria Engineering Games scheduled for July, 12, 2025 at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja
Gumel who will bankroll the event says he is expecting an appreciable attendance at this year’s event.
“I would like to see not less than 250 people at this year’s event. I expect people of all ages to come, have fun, and use the walk to keep fit,” he said.
“I am happy that for the first time, the Chairman and the Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko and Bukola Olapade respectively will join me in leading the walk.”
Habu Gumel states that participants will use the event to promote healthy live style as well as keep fit.
Engr Gumel was a past President of the Nigeria Society of Engineers.
He urged the participants to gather for the flag off of the Walk from 8am at the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Headquarters.Off Labour House Road/National Mosque Road CBD, Abuja.
