Nigerian Cyclist Samuel Fasema Completes Epic Lagos to Maiduguri Ride

The Nigeria cycling federation has praised the exploits of ex nigerian cyclist Samuel fasema who rode from Lagos to Maiduguri and back for not only promoting peace but also promoting the enormous benefits of the sport

Samuel Fasema rode for peace and unity, against drug abuse and for renewed hope this year the ride to Maiduguri is his 2nd having embarked on such journey in 2024 to Benue state

Fasema who arrived Lagos on Saturday February 7 was joined by team mates led by chairman of ft cycle care cycling Club femi Thomas at Berger where they rode through ojota, Anthony, palm groove, stadium , CMS, third mainland bridge and terminated at the clubs office in fadeyi to the warm embrace of families, friends and well wishers

Samuel fasema who has passion for cycling speaks on how the journey went and his next project

“I thank God I was able to achieve this, it was easy some never believed I would be able to ride to Maiduguri and back but I did. Am looking at going a step forward by registering for the Guiness book of word record soon ” He said

Board member nigeria cycling federation femi thomas who doubles as chairman of ft cycle care cycling Club comemded Samuel feseme while highlighting the need for corporate bodies to join forces with the federation in discovering more talents in cycling

“What Samuel did is very ramarlable no one has done it in the history in this country . We will continue to encourage him and hope that the private sector can come in and support the federation discover more Samuels ” He said

Captain ft cycle care cycling Club, Francis Agbo, a team mate of Samuel fasema expressed delight for successful mission while also calling on the corporate world support the cyclist with ambassadorial award to serve as a beacon of hope to athletes who go the extra mile in showcasing nigeria in a good light

The 19 days ride on bicycle covered a distance of 3,776.03 kilometers
