AFCON 2023:Angola Players Threaten to Beat Nigeria, 

Angolan Player, Gilberto has said they will beat Nigeria in the AFCON 2023 Quarter Finals.

He boasted that Nigeria’s Super Eagles are not a threat to them.

Remember Angola denied Nigeria FIFA World Cup qualification in 2006 when we lost 2-1 on aggregate

Angolan bank, Banco Keve has promised to give the Players $9,600 each if they beat Nigeria.

Angolan diamond company, Social EP promised to give the team $250,000 if they beat Nigeria.

The last game Angola played, Angolan bank, BAI gave each Player $6,000 for beating Namibia 3-0 in the AFCON Round of 16. Telecoms company, UNITEL Also gifted each Player an iPhone 15.

Meanwhile, Barely 4 days to the quarter-final match against Nigeria, all seems not to be well in the camp of Angola.

The Palancas Negras reached the quarter-final of the competition for the first time in their history after a 3-0 win over Namibia on Saturday.

According to the update from the team camp in Abidjan, star player Ben Mukendi on Monday decided to dump the team and return to his club in Portugal.

Mukendi was one of the top players for the country during the qualifier but he has been unable to secure a regular playing in the competition.

The situation seems not to go down well with him and he has decided to return to his Portuguese club Casa Pia.
